Stone Mountain
is the home of a civil war memorial depicting Confederate President Jefferson
Davis, General Robert E. Lee and Lt. General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson.
We visited Stone Mountain in December, so the background to this page is Christmas lights from the park! |

So, this
mountain is really high...
and we're afraid of heights. |
So naturally,

And this
is the Atlanta skyline in the distance. The park website notes that in
the 1830s the view from Stone Mountain included 5 local towns, one of
which was Terminus: "a few straggling huts beyond Decatur."
